YAYI LI is a Chinese-Australian contemporary jewellery designer.

The inspiration of this collection comes from air route map. I focus on “long distance relationship” to communicate my concept. I wish to convey a positive feeling around maintaining long distance relationships. Having been in one myself for over 5 years I am aware of the commitment and deep rooted trust that this requires. It is important to me that my work reflects this. Distance away from a loved one allows time and space for reflection and an opportunity to measure a couple’s commitment. My works explore this concept and I develop a collection to communicate my findings.
